Life Infusion
Costa Rica Retreat + Experience

{When Is the Retreat?}

February 24 – March 3, 2018

We will pick up participants from the Liberia airport on February 24, and provide drop-off to the airport on March 3. By the end of this week-long women-only retreat, participants will feel more connected and tuned in to their authentic selves. Through yoga, adventure, community, and a transformational 2-day workshop on Radical Aliveness, we will create space for the Real to creep in, for participants to feel newly infused with life.

{What Should I Expect?}

Part Yoga Retreat, Part Rainforest Adventure, Part Oceanside Relaxation

In the morning we practice quiet awakening to feel our own bodies emerging from sleep and to listen to the morning calls of birds and howler monkeys. Then we have a two hour yoga session, after which we have a homemade breakfast, highlighting the fresh flavors of Costa Rica. Some days we’ll stay within the sacred space we create through yoga, using movement, breath and energy work to grow more attuned to our authentic selves and inner truths. Other days we’ll go out for a guided day tour, to the Viento Fresco Waterfall or rafting on the Rio Corobici or hiking deep in the rainforest around Volcano Arenal or enjoying the sun on the Pacific Coast.

In all the adventures you will probably get muddy or sandy and possibly be blown sideways by the wind. But you will feel nature and the pleasure of facing unknowns that will give you a chance to question the boundaries you have placed for yourself. You will connect with all that is natural in yourself, each other, and this world.

{Who Will Be Leading the Retreat?}

ginny Walters, yoga extraordinaire

ginny has been guiding people into the practice of yoga since 1997. In early 2010 she completed the Yoga Alliance 500-hour training and she has led 7 yoga retreats in Costa Rica over the past decade. Her passion is watching her students expand their personal vision and she loves to see their surprise in the ability to master a posture step by step.

Samantha Walters, gal about town

Samantha will be the logistical coordinator, personal chef, and Spanish interpreter for this retreat. She lived in Costa Rica for 4 blissful years, during which she ran a bed and breakfast, organized yoga retreats, and planned grand adventures for visitors.

Lynne Nagy, the fun finder

Lynne is the founder of Ultramission and holds a PhD in Experiential Learning. As a stand up paddleboard trainer and a master facilitator, her goal is to Invite, Unite + Engage folks, to inspire them to look at life differently and to bring PLAY to their daily lives!

Mario Castellon Ibarra, personal Tico tour guide

Mario, a native of Costa Rica (and current Cleveland transplant, thanks to his wife Samantha) worked in tourism in Costa Rica for 6 years. He specialized in leading ziplining tours, kayak adventures, horseback riding trips, and rainforest hikes. If you want to learn about Costa Rica flora and fauna, he's your guy. He'll also introduce you to the locals, including his lovely family.
